Appellants claim Convention refugee status as defined in s. 2(1) of the Immigra- tion Act, 1976. The Minister of Employ- ment and Immigration, acting on the advice of the Refugee Status Advisory Committee, determined pursuant to s. 45 of the Act that none of the appellants was a Convention refugee.
